What is the SkillBoard?
The SkillBoard is an internal analysis and visualization tool that makes skills visible - both at an individual level and in the overall picture of the company. It helps us to plan targeted further development, identify knowledge gaps and optimize application processes.
How it worked
1. self-assessment via form
Employees and applicants fill out a structured Microsoft Forms form in which they self-assess their skills in various areas.
2. automated data processing
A Power Automate Flow automatically transfers the answers to a central Dataverse table - without any manual intermediate steps.
3. visualization in the Power BI report
The Power BI Report accesses this data and prepares it visually - individually per person, aggregated by team or as an overall overview for the company.
Efficiency and strategy
Automated processes save time and reduce sources of error.
The aggregated data helps us to make targeted investments in further training and team development.
Use in the application process
Applicants also fill out the form before the first interview. This gives us a structured picture of their self-assessment before the interview - similar to the way many recruiters handle skills profiles. This saves time and creates comparability.
